Requirements:  

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience

• General computer literacy

• Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for customer service

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Summary:

The generator service technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all Generac generators for customers of Knee’s Electrical Service. Knee’s Electrical Service is in the business of creating and maintaining long-term relationships. When working with new and existing customers, this is your primary goal. You are responsible for learning these generators inside and out to best serve our customers. This includes Generac training, on-the-job learning, and working with the Generac tech service department. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performing annual and biannual services on all generators

• Performing diagnostics and repairs on generators as trained

• Making sure that all warranty work is submitted correctly for reimbursement

• Keeping track of generator service parts stock and keeping ordered as needed

• Helping with shop organization and cleaning

• Working as a team player and contributing to the team accordingly

• Performing other duties as assigned
